Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits
The classic taste of cinnamon raisin makes these biscuits a gem! Crank up your breakfasts with a dash of cinnamon!
INGREDIENTS FOR CINNAMON RAISIN BISCUITS
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons skim milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup skim milk
DIRECTIONS
- Combine flour, baking powder, raisins, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Combine milk and oil; add to dry ingredients, stirring until dry ingredients are just moistened.
- Turn dough out onto work surface, and knead lightly 10 times. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness and cut into rounds with a biscuit cutter.
- Place on a baking sheet coated with non-stick cooking spray.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden.
- Combine powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla; stir well. Drizzle over warm biscuits.
- Makes 18 biscuits.
